Victory is in having done your best. If you’ve done your best, you’ve won.

During the Animolympics of the College, there have been a vast number of people who participated in a variety of events. From the different display of booths to the various number of sports that were held at the University of St. La Salle. Indeed, the opening of the Sports Festival was a blast! Moreover, our team went for a stroll around the campus to check the booths that were displayed at the parking lot in front of the Coliseum.
Firstly, we went to Tiby’s Grill and ate the Bacolod’s finest specialty, which is the “Inasal na Manok” (Grilled Chicken). Spending such quality time with our peers during the first day of the sports fest boosted our excitement since we are able to oversee the diverse talents of the College students when it comes to Sports.
Secondly, we bought some cotton candy to gratify our cravings as we continue to look around and witness the games during our vacant period. There we discovered the 5 different consisting teams of the different College departments. The orange team which is the CET (College of Engineering and Technology), the red team which is the CON (College of Nursing), the green team stands for CAS (College of Arts and Sciences), the blue team which stands for CEd (College of Education), and the last but not the least, the yellow team which is the CBA (College of Business and Administration).

Additionally, the first night of the Animolympics was the most exhilarating starter booze of the week. There had been a cheer dance competition among the five teams and everyone have gone farouche inside the Coliseum as people cheered and supported their own squads. Although the intermission numbers were a bit disconcerting to watch because of the multiple errors in their performances during that big night, the cheer leading teams quickly diverted the attention of the crowd to focus on the real score of the event which is the greatest competition of the astounding stunts they were able to perform in front of the audience.
Lastly, although it has been a great night for some, the results of the cheer dance competition brought disappointment and rage to the CBA students since the administration declared them as disqualified because of the “illegal” stunts they have showcased during their performance. Ergo, the results also brought shame and dissatisfaction to the supporters of the said team. Despite this, every team carried out their best during the competition since they have also worked very hard for that accomplishment to make it all happen. Therefore, we think that the most important thing among everything that had happened is none other than: SPORTSMANSHIP.
